Day to day, technology
advances faster, and with this advance human efforts to communication are
lesser. But while the called information and communication technologies (ICTS)
continue advancing it seems the communications between people is every time
more deficient.
30 years ago the
communication between people from different places was very difficult, for
example the messages were sent by telegraph or by postman and it could take
days to arrive.
Today people send
messages by cell phone or by computer and even it can take just a few seconds
to cross continents. This is a technology advantage.
Also, 30 years ago the
families had a better communication or at least they shared more time together.
The parents spent their nights with their children and all the family watched
television or listened radio stations together.
Today, the parents don't
share their time with their children because they are always busy chatting with
their friends by cell phone or doing "more important things" in their
computers. This is a way that
technology affects the relationships between parents and children.
Occupationally technology
is very important, if technology wouldn't exist, everything would be slower
because it does a lot of things easy. Things like create plans to projects
using programs.
But also technology has
taken an important humans paper. Thousands people have lost their works because
they have been replaced by machines that do the same work in least time.
What would happen if technology continue advancing? Humans should think about it. Probably if we continue using bad technology, in the next forty (40) or fifty (50) years humans will be handled by robots or look for a job will be so difficult that most people will be extremely poor.
Technology advance will
continue through times, our work will be learn how to handle technology
adequately and that it doesn't handle us.
