Digital interactions have changed the social dynamics by Alexandra Sánchez M

Technological advances have changed radically the way we interact with others in short time since lasts years. Now, It is possible to get a conversation without a face to face interaction with people who are in whatever place in cheap and immediately way. So, digital technology have given us many benefits, but we need to learn how to use it and how to not be addicted to it.

Digital interactions can be a “efficient bridge” to keep in touch. Some people establish strong relationships which were impossible without technology. They can be more outgoing and spontaneous with their virtual friends, and sometimes it can enhance the relationships and rise the likelihood to interact in a real way.

However, changes in the social dynamics trigger different impacts. For example, friendships that have been build in real situations, have great effect in our lives, because Friends use to share intimacy, difficults and happy moments. Real interactions present the real sense of to be with others. Digital interactions are more superflual and less worthy because these are less demanding and more common. That is why people is getting more and more interested in vitual friendships. These behaviors have allowed the decrease of the importance of humanity values like listen the people who are around or share moments in family. Some people have gotten addictions too, and prefer virtual than social interactions.

Technology is an important tool that can enhance relationships, but it is necessary to keep the balance between plugging on and plugging off. It´s important to keep in touch with Friends and classmates vitually, but real moments may be more essential in our lives. Probably it is kind of complicated to adapt to all these new humanity changes, but we should have concordance in our real purposes in life and figure out how to use all these tools in an accurate way.
