THE DIFFICULT SEARCH OF LOVE- By Javier Ramírez

This is a story about Betty. She was born in a little town called Raquira. When she was 8 years old her parents and she moved away to Bogotá. She didn´t like this city because people were too unfriendly and the weather was cold. They arrived to the new neighborhood called San Mateo and she didn´t know anyone in this neighborhood. But this situation change on January 4^th 1985 she looked a handsome boy named Felipe who lived in the same neighborhood. He was a tall and athletic boy. He liked to practice skating.

She met him in skating club. Later they hung out in elementary school, so they were classmates and she was definitely happy because she had a friendship with Felipe. He was organized, bookish, athletic, polite and sometimes arrogant and laidback. Frequently they liked to go skating, they went to the art museum and they did the school homework. Step by step Felipe became her obsession, one day Felipe confessed to her that he had a crush on Catalina. Betty ran to her house because she didn’t believe that Felipe had a crush on Catalina because she and Felipe grew up together. She arrived at her bedroom and cried a lot. She didn’t eat and didn’t leave her bedroom for two weeks because of she was depressed. Her worried parents made a decision: They took her to a psychiatric hospital. There she had a lot of therapy for her depression and she learned to manage her anxiety and to improve her self-esteem. In the psychiatric hospital she met a handsome boy his name was hector who was sick too and he was depressed too. She was in the psychiatric hospital for three months and then Betty left the Hospital she knew that Felipe was moved away to the United States. This situation is better for her because she was relaxed. Ten years later Hector came to create a website that help people found their old friends. He started to buy a new laptop because of he had an old computer. As following he needed internet connection for achieve his objective. He called her internet company; finally he had internet connection three months later. But he had a lot of problems to create a new webpage, he didn’t have good software, therefore, he bought complex software to create webpage, later, the battery of the laptop was damage and Hector repaired the battery. Hector work hard and he had a lot of obstacles, one of them it was his laptop froze up frequently therefore he called up her company tech support. This company repaired his laptop. Finally six years later Hector finished his website named H&BS, it was a resounding success, when his webpage had two months running, and it was attacked by virus attack, Hector was very sad for that situation, he repaired his webpage.

Hector had a lot of memories that Betty and he looked for her in her webpage. Hector found her and they started the communication. Hector lived in Medellin and she lived in Bogotá. He said he was boring in Medellin and he wanted to get back Bogotá. One month later he got back Bogotá. They kept in touch and they started to going out. One year later Betty wanted to settle down and Hector agree with Betty, On October 5^th 1996 they got married. Today they have a good relationship and they get along well.
